When it comes to multi level marketing (MLM), there's a lot
of shady practices that goes on in this business. I can remember when I first
started my online business, people took a look at what I was selling, and they
said that it was a joke. They thought it was MLM despite my attempts to
convince them otherwise. But it was kind of my fault... I had an ugly looking
website when I first started, and it didn't make any sales.
But back to my point... if you're genuinely in an MLM
program but aren't making any money from it, then you should consider exiting
this business and seeing if you can find some other business opportunity that
you can make money with. In fact, in this lesson, I want to ask you some
questions that will sort of qualify your MLM program as something that you
should continue to pursue. Here's the first question:
1) Is this a lifestyle business?
For most people, their ideal internet business would be to
wake up each and everyday with sales in their inbox. Unfortunately for most
people online, this isn't their reality. They wake up everyday hoping to see 1
sale... for the whole month. If this describes you, then this is a tell tale
sign that maybe you should be in a different kind of business.
Because of this, many people who try MLM quit right away.
They don't see sales on a recurring basis, they still have to pay for the
monthly membership, and they're barely hanging on by the job that they have. If
this describes your MLM program, then you should find something better else to
sell. Here's another question that you will want to ask yourself:
2) Are you willing to work?
There's a lot of grunt work that goes into a MLM business.
Even if it's online, you still have to build up downline members, and even
worst... only be restricted to signing up friends and family members. This is
why you will see a lot of people promoting their MLM program on Facebook
everyday.
Instead of this, you need a business that doesn't run YOU.
If you want to make your MLM program work, you have to approach it for what it
is. It's a business opportunity, and you have to market a business opportunity
in the same way that you market anything else online.
Do marketing, get traffic, get opt-in subscribers, get new
members, then repeat the process. It will help if you get a ton of targeted
traffic to your site, because these will be the prime people who will sign up
for your opportunity. And if your MLM company doesn't allow you to generate
leads from your own website, don't use them. It's an exercise in futility.
Hopefully you've learned a few things from this lesson
because it's something that you really need to imprint into your mind because
MLM is a tough industry to make money in. Any kind of business opportunity is
tough to sell, and a MLM program ranks among the toughest. So keep this in
mind.
Good luck with earning money with your MLM opportunity
today.
